Olsen’s Blowtorch is one of the most trusted Euro-nymphs ever created—flashy, bold, and undeniably effective. Designed by world-class angler Devin Olsen, this pattern blends a bright fluorescent tag with a slim, fast-sinking profile that puts it in the strike zone quickly.

While it’s still a “Wanna Be Confidence Fly” for me, it’s earned legendary status for countless anglers and is one of the most reliable tag nymphs you can carry. Whether you’re fishing shallow pocket water or deep winter runs, the Blowtorch brings exactly the right mix of attraction and subtlety.

Each fly is hand-tied by me, using high-quality hooks, tungsten beads, and durable materials. These are not wholesale flies—every Blowtorch is tied fresh after you order.

Each Blowtorch is tied on the same Firehole 516 Jig Stick using the same proven materials. The only difference is bead size, and that difference is everything on the water.

Available Weight Options:

Heavy – 3.5mm Firehole Slotted Tungsten Bead
Best for deep runs, fast current, and high water where getting down quickly matters.

Medium – 3.0mm Firehole Slotted Tungsten Bead
The workhorse option for standard runs when you need steady bottom contact without excessive ticking.

Light – 2.5mm Firehole Slotted Tungsten Bead
Ideal for shallow water, soft seams, and low, clear conditions where a subtle drift triggers more takes.
