Description

For much of the year, this is the first fly I tie on as my point fly, and it often stays there all day. Whether you’re fishing it solo, pairing it with a Rainbow Warrior, or running it as a dropper in a tandem rig, the Thread Frenchie catches trout everywhere.

Why It Works
The Thread Frenchie has all the features trout respond to: a slim profile, a slick UV resin coating, a Coq de Leon tail with subtle movement, and the perfect mix of contrast between thread, wire ribbing, dubbing, and bead. It behaves like a mayfly nymph—one of the most common meals in a trout’s diet—while still fishing fast enough to excel in modern Euro and tightline presentations.

Fast Sink and Full Control
With its thin build and heavy tungsten bead, this fly cuts quickly through the water column.
